Restaurant Review: Farmbird, Good Chicken Without the Bore Factor

Ever get tired of chicken? I sure do. My girlfriend, whom I love and adore, has a very particular appetite. I am a voracious lover of all types of meat, while she only likes chicken breast, turkey breast, center cut pork chops, 90/10 Ground beef and very very well done steak. There are exceptions to every rule, but you get my point. We eat chicken breast a lot.

So imagine my surprise, when one I’m walking along H St NE, and I see this place called Farmbird. It’s a chicken place! WOOHOO!!!! Okay, I had no idea if either of us would like it but we decided to give it a go. We walked in and came up to a menu that gave us several choices. This is what I got:

Yeah, I know. Mouthwatering, right? That would be the Chicken Thigh, Spicy Roasted Fresno, over brown rice with Roasted Baby Bok Choy and a Kale salad. My mouth is watering just remembering. By the way, my mouth is also remembering that I practically lost all taste buds from the heat level. So, beware!

Also, if you get a drink, or maybe it was just because we got beer, we got these:

Coszies!!!!! I love them. They’re my new favorite! Also currently, my only cozy, but I still think it’s cute and great advertisement for my new favorite chicken place (P.S. my favorite chicken ramen place is Bantam King, review to come). So check this place out, it’s pretty darn delicious and awesome.
